Russian President Vladimir Putin Gets Invite, Likely to Visit India in Early 2025
Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to visit India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the dates for the visit expected to be finalized in early 2025, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov confirmed during a briefing.
"Our leaders have an agreement to meet once a year. This time, it’s our turn," Ushakov stated, adding, "We have received Mr. Modi’s invitation and will certainly consider it positively."
The strong rapport between Putin and Modi is reflected in their frequent interactions, including regular phone conversations every couple of months and in-person meetings during international summits.
Earlier this year, the Indian Prime Minister visited Moscow in July to attend the 22nd Russia-India Summit and participated in the BRICS Summit in Kazan in October, underscoring the deep ties between the two nations.
Details of President Putin’s upcoming visit will be finalized in the coming months, further solidifying the strategic partnership between India and Russia.
