Raipur is set to make history once again this Saturday. The Raipur Art, Literature, and Film Festival (RALFF) will be held on February 8, 2025, at the first floor of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium. The event will commence at 1:00 PM, and entry is free for all residents.

Padma Shri Pandi Ram Mandavi will grace the event as the chief guest. This year, the film festival received entries from over 150 films, including international films as well as movies from Jammu and Kashmir to Kerala.

Out of these, 15 films will be selected, and 5 will be awarded prizes.

Screening of Chhattisgarh's First Biopic 'Mandiraji'

Chhattisgarh's first biopic, 'Mandiraji', which is based on the life of Dau Mandiraji and Chhattisgarhi artists, will be screened at the festival. The film is directed by Kishore Sarwa and Nand Kishore Sahu, with Chhattisgarh's superstar Karan Khan playing the role of Dau Mandiraji.

Objectives of the Festival

The festival's curator, Preeti Upadhyay, stated that Chhattisgarh lacks neither art nor artists. The aim of this festival is to provide a new direction to the art, culture, and cinema of Chhattisgarh. It aims to offer a platform to Chhattisgarh's talented filmmakers and artists, introducing their creativity to audiences from around the country and the globe.

Festival Director Kunal Shukla mentioned that the Raipur Art, Literature, and Film Festival is not just a medium for showcasing films but a platform for the exchange of ideas, appreciation of art, and inspiration for new creations.

The Third Year of the Event

This marks the third year of the Raipur Art, Literature, and Film Festival. Once again, over 150 films from across India and international entries have participated.
