Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan sustained injuries after being attacked by a robber who broke into his Bandra (West) residence in the early hours of Thursday.

The incident occurred around 2:30 AM while Khan and his family were asleep. The intruder reportedly fled the scene after family members woke up and raised an alarm.

According to the police, the Bandra police are registering an FIR, and multiple teams have been formed to track down the culprit. A senior IPS officer confirmed that Khan has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

“It is not yet clear whether Khan was stabbed or injured during a scuffle with the robber. Both the Bandra police and the Mumbai Crime Branch are conducting parallel investigations into the case,” the officer stated.

Injuries and Medical Treatment

Hospital authorities revealed that Khan suffered six injuries, with two being severe. One of the wounds is near his spine, raising concerns about potential complications. Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthetist Dr. Nisha Gandhi are leading the treatment team.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, CEO of Lilavati Hospital, shared, “Khan was brought to the hospital around 3:30 AM. He is currently undergoing surgery, and the extent of the damage will be determined once the procedure is complete.”

The Bandra police have cordoned off the area and are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the attacker. Authorities believe the intruder may have been targeting valuables but fled the scene when the residents were alerted.
